Principal's Message:
Dear Prospective and Current Dos Palos Elementary Families,
Welcome back to school! I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones healthy, happy, and ready for an exciting new school year. As we embark on another wonderful year of learning and growth, I would like to extend a warm welcome to both our returning families and those joining us for the first time. My name is Priscilla Gomez, and I am excited to introduce myself as your new DPE Principal and Director of Early Childhood Education.
It is my firm belief that the educators at any school site make all the difference. For what will now be my 8th year at DPE, this ideal still rings true. Our EDUCATORS are the backbone of all our current success and future achievements, and I feel fortunate to have the immense opportunity to serve alongside them. What an honor it is to educate the world's greatest asset and to have a unique opportunity to be impactful in the growth and development of our community’s children.
For those of you who know me, you know that Dos Palos is not just where I work; it is my home and where I raise my own children. Needless to say, my commitment to making a positive educational impact here is deeply personal, just as I know it is to many of you who share similar connections to our community. Please trust that it is my intention to bring much-needed stability to DPE/DPECE so that our goals and initiatives can be collaboratively achieved.
This year, we will begin our journey to create a comprehensive Preschool to 2nd grade site by merging DPECE with DPE in alignment of practices and goals—a true extension of one another. I will be overseeing all grade levels with the assistance of the DPECE administration, which will be determined in due course.
At DPE we believe that strong partnerships between staff and parents are key to a successful childhood experience. We encourage open and ongoing communication and invite parents to be actively involved in their children’s education. Whether through school events, monthly parent meetings, Parent/Teacher Conferences, or volunteering, your participation is highly valued and appreciated.
Please feel free to visit our school, meet our dedicated teachers, and see firsthand the wonderful environment we have created for your children. I look forward to collaborating with you and watching your children grow and blossom throughout the year. Here's to a fantastic school year filled with learning, laughter, and growth!
All the best,
Mrs. Gomez
